Students utilize graphing calculators in Algebra I and, since we have been learning in a hybrid model, students do not have access to graphing calculators or graphing utilities. This will help students verify their answers and visualize graphs. My students live in lower-income, economically disadvantaged neighborhoods, and their parents struggle at times to make ends meet. Many of my students are the first in their families to attend and/or graduate high school. Giving my students access to graphing calculators at home will help ensure their success and take them one step closer to graduation!
