I have a wonderful group of 23 students. They have been in-person all but three weeks of remote learning this school year. The first six months our restrictions were very tight, and they had very few choices about anything that they did throughout the day. Our state has started to lesson the restrictions, and I want to work hard the next five weeks to give them a classroom family feeling.
The opportunity for students to get to choose where and how they learn is empowering to them! I want to let them have the opportunity to choose whether to stand, sit, or spread out on the floor with these chairs and rug. The students that need to fidget enjoy the wobble chairs so much. It allows them some freedom of movement without distracting other students.
