Some of my biggest struggles as a Math Teacher is to keep students engaged in the material, want to try hard in a class they already find extremely difficult, and also be willing to share out their answers.
These snacks are a great way to give students energy to stay focused during the entire class and alert for any mathematical question I may give them. Also, I will be using these snacks as an incentive in any classroom activity, learning gain or score improvement.
I am hoping that these snacks will also get students comfortable with actively participating in class. So, later on in the year they are more willing to show their work, come up to the board, and or ask questions in class when they don't understand.
