As a new itinerant teacher, my role includes traveling to multiple schools, assisting students across grades K-12 with their communication, self-advocacy, and listening skills, and provide support to multiple educators. Starting in this new role, mid-year is no easy feat. That is why I am asking for Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards. These gift cards will allow me to better meet students where they are at and collaborate with other teachers in my field.
For students who access information visually through American Sign Language and rely on facial expressions and lip-reading, having high quality video is vital to their achievement. I am asking for help getting an Apple Macbook Pro to support students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing gain equal access to learning for both in-person learning and distance learning. With this, my students will be able to clearly see my facial expressions, mouth formations, and signs.
