My Junior High Special Education classroom is in desperate need of a facelift! In order to offer flexible seating options, I have searched out garage sale and flea market finds for furniture. Unfortunately, most of these items don't last long because they are not built for everyday, all day use. I am slowly replacing the furniture pieces with items that are built for use in schools and will stand up to my students' using them daily.
I am requesting bounce chairs and wobble chairs. Being able to wiggle just a little, while they are learning and reading, helps my students keep their focus and release excess energy. Having options for seating will help them with this, especially for my students who have special needs. The wobble chairs are lightweight enough that my students can take them to other classes when needed and the ergo chairs will let them have a little bit of bounce.
