It's heartbreaking when you are teaching students at home and they have no crayons or markers to color in their work. Students feel left out and unable to complete their project because they can't afford crayons. How can I expect my students to get the best art education when they can't even color in their work.
A student should not fail art class because they don't have crayons. How can they be graded on not having art supplies at home. I do a lot of step by step drawings and it always includes coloring. They need to learn about color and those wonderful fine motor skills!
