My biggest challenge with remote teaching is not being able to read my students' nonverbal feedback. When I share my screen to present a lesson, I lose sight of all 30 students. When I'm not sharing, they can nod their heads to indicate comprehension or give me subtle signs that indicate they are struggling with the lesson.
If I had a second screen, I would never lose sight of my students. I could maintain that crucial connection. This has never been more important to me than it is right now. I want to do everything I can to connect with, motivate, and understand my students' needs.
