My first grade students love to run, jump and bounce in our gym. Being a small school in the arctic means that we are unable to play outside for a large portion of the school year. Using scooters, balls, and hula hoops will provide students with the opportunity to increase their physical education while having fun. This gym equipment, which is sorely lacking, will give us the chance to move and play together as a class while maintaining social distance for safety.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student physical activity opportunities, you will ultimately help to increase their enjoyment in school by having fun and meaningful activities to participate in.
Students will be able to run, jump, scoot, and play in a safe and warm environment. In addition, by increasing physical health we will be able to increase our students' overall mental well-being.
