Approximately 2/3 of my students are on free/reduced lunch, and may not have the resources to take piano lessons outside of school. I currently only have one piano in my classroom.
By having more pianos in my classroom, I can give students an opportunity to have piano instruction. With four extra keyboards, I will have a total of five pianos, allowing students to share in groups of 5-6 kids per keyboard. Piano instruction would engage all students while also applying things we have already learned, such as steady beat, rhythm, tempo, and melody. All students in upper grades would use these keyboards.
