Part of our students’ instructional day is spent on their iPad working on assignments given by our teachers. Many of these assignments in Kindergarten focus on handwriting as they are just learning how to write. Other assignments require them to draw pictures, lines to match things, or circle correct answers. These are tasks that prove challenging for the kids when they are using their fingers for those fine motor skills.
By funding this project, you are helping our students become better able to write in virtual learning platforms and apps such as SeeSaw, Google Slides and Google Docs. These styluses are shaped like pencils, which will assist our teachers in training their hands for proper grip. Learning the proper pencil grip will help them improve their letter and number formation.
