To become proficient at technology and to document the rich history from the elders of their village, my students will be creating their own podcast called "It Happened in Hydaburg." The concept is to make class culturally relevant and provide traditional Native learning paths (learning through observing Elders) combined with new technology and techniques that can preserve the rich oral history of the Haida people in Hydaburg, Alaska. Not only can this technology be used for podcasting, but it can also be used for years to come to make documentaries!
