As a new teacher, I am starting from scratch when it comes to the library of books I can provide to students. I have selected sets of some of the most popular, engaging classics, that I plan to read with students as part of their daily reading curriculum. I chose these titles with mindfulness of not only what I believe can spark educational benefits, but instill a love and passion for reading. Encouraging these students to continue to read beyond the walls of the classroom is an eternal experience. It is also a safe place for students to resort to in times of hardship or disappointment. The gift of a book can change a mindset, inspire an idea, and truly change a life.
