With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read about people who are like them and people who are not like them. I want my students to feel empowered by diverse characters in high-quality children's books, relating and learning through little boys and girls who look like they do. I want to make sure I have done all I can to help give my students the ability to learn about others. Let my library reflect the beautiful diversity we see in our daily lives.
