This project is broken down into multiple parts. First, we will be using BrainPOP and Time for Kids in daily instruction. These are online platforms that students can access from their devices. These can also be used during whole group lessons. These resources are engaging and allow for a variety of activities. They are cross-curricular so can be used for all content areas.
My students will use Time For Kids as an alternative reading activity that is based on Lexile levels, has read-aloud functionality, and embedded vocabulary support. We will use this during reading rotations. We will use BrainPop in daily instruction in Math, Reading, Social Studies, Science, and Writing.
My goal is to use the resources from this project to help students transition back to school while prioritizing student engagement, collaboration, and safety. The technology resources, fraction tiles, and flexible seating are going to be used for our hybrid learners when they return to school. Students may not be prepared to sit all day at desks, therefore the flexible seating allows options for students as they transition back to the classroom setting. The headset and wireless mouse will be used to make lessons and daily planning more efficient and effective for the teacher and students.
