This project will allow students to have additional supports when they are feeling upset or stressed! It will also support teachers to be able to borrow items such as books, fidgets, art supplies, games, or other supplies. The books I added are about mindfulness. The fidgets would be used to create calm-down boxes. The teacher-student relationship in the classroom is important and this project and items would allow them to have the resources to be able to support students in their classroom. The paint and art supplies would be available for teachers to use in small groups to do art therapy. Having a classroom where SEL is the first focus allows students to be comfortable sharing with their teacher and going to them in times of need. The adult books would be a resource for teachers to borrow in order to learn about ways to support students who are struggling emotionally.
