In our next unit, our class will be researching the rain forest! This unit is typically extremely engaging for students, and my hope is that our current circumstances do not prevent that from being the case this year as well!
With this project, we have the potential to get a copy of a rigorous, engaging text about the rain forest into the hands of every student, even though they are attending school from home!
Usually, students get their hands on hundreds of books every school year, and while there are some great alternatives online that provide digital books, students are still missing the opportunity to read the same books at the same time as their classmates and their teacher this year.
