My goal with this equipment is to have students build, deploy, maintain a solar powered computer that measures the water quality in a small stream on our school's property. My goal is to have students publish this information on a website SO the local community can stay informed on the quality of the water found in the small stream. The EnviroDIY Mayfly is a some assembly required mini, outdoor, solar powered computer that measures water quality measures. Students get experience with micro-controllers, the outdoors, analyzing data, drawing conclusions from data and publishing the data to the greater community.
