I am requesting a reading and writing center, chart paper and markers. My kindergarteners have been engaged in distance learning throughout the first trimester of school and despite limited resources, they have been ROCKING it!
We are planning to enter into a Hybrid Model in the near future. I will be teaching a small group of students in person, while teaching the remainder of the class online. While I am over the moon excited to get students back in the classroom, I do worry about my limited resources to make this transition successful.
The Reading Writing Center will allow me to easily address the needs of both my in person students and my students learning from home. I will be able to display our calendar and morning message, while also modeling writing for my kinders on this easel. The rolling feature allows me to move quickly from my webcam, to the front of the class, or anywhere in between (as all of my students will be spread out to allow for social distancing).
Meanwhile the dry erase markers will replace our dried out markers. Whiteboards have helped my students at home stay engaged throughout our daily online lessons.
