Pear Deck is a Google-Add On that makes Google slides interactive for student learning. With Pear Deck Premium, students will have the advantage to answer questions without worrying about what their classmates think. When responses are collected then shared by screen all answers appear anonymously. The teacher is able to see who wrote which answer after the lesson by publishing takeaways.
By publishing the takeaways they automatically go to the teacher's Google Drive where the teacher can review responses at any time. For instance, if I ask students during morning meeting what kind of toy they would invent from the takeaways I can see each student's response which. By using Pear Deck I can create various types of assessments. An assessment can be formative or summative. For example, I can ask students what the most important concept they learned when adding fractions, they could all type their answer, I can review which students understand a concept, and which students need more assistance.
