Getting books in kids' hands is the best way to help literacy in all contents. Exposing kids to the written word will give them access to more learning. Words will help bridge the gap that has been created by COVID school closures. Time to read and choice to explore will create life-long learners.
Without a school library, our kids don't have access to books. Social Distancing and cohorts make field trips to public libraries almost impossible. We need help.
Traditionally, we give our kids time to explore books during class. We encourage them to put the screens down and get a real book in their hands. We give them the space to explore the written word and find a love in learning on their own.
We need help getting books in kids' hands. We need you.
