Teaching a foreign language is hard enough as it is, adding in COVID (using a mask), teaching on simultaneous platforms (virtual and remote), and low income area adds to it. Being able to have an iPad will allow me to have access to my virtual students and my remote students (hybrid model, face to face once a week at current) simultaneously, allowing me the opportunity for more one on one instruction. Since half of my students are at home, they are already lacking on materials they can use to further their mastery in French, having this will give them a better way to visually see certain important aspects of learning a language, ie sentence structure, verb conjugations (past, present, and future), use of example for all vocabulary). Teams allow an app called whiteboard, but my students are not able to see it, therefore currently I use a personal sized whiteboard for my instruction. When remote students are face to face, the virtual students struggle to see the SmartBoard that is used. Having this would help because you can screen share with the SmartBoard and TEAMS so neither group would struggle to see the content presented.
