My students often do not have access to the materials they need to be successful from basics like pencils, paper, and markers all the way up to access to math manipulatives to help them visualize and understand abstract math concepts. My students come from diverse backgrounds and this project will also help fund resources for me to plan lessons that make them feel seen, included, and important. In turn, students can see themselves in the lessons and know that they CAN succeed. These supplies are fairly "basic" but they are so necessary!
