Studies show that reading, more so than math and science, is the most important skill that students learn in school. Furthermore, the best method to foster growth in reading is for students to read 30 minutes each day at their reading level. We have some books, but not enough at the range of levels that meet my students varying needs. So, my thought is to give these students the timeless tools of literature so that they can be the best they can be with the power of reading using books that they can understand.
