We see colors everywhere and every moment of our lives, however many of us are not aware of how or why we see colors, and why some colors work well together while others don't. This project will help students understand the physics of color, how light creates color, and how colors react together through color mixing.
Students will use color wheels to understand how colors react together. They will learn what colors are opposite of each other on the color wheel, and how that can create visual impact. Students will use paintbrushes and well trays to physically mix colors together to understand the reaction that colors have, and how they transform into new colors.
By having students physically mix colors they will be able to see colors transform right in front of their eyes, to better understand how our eyes perceive those different colors. This project will transform the way that students see colors around them, from branding to the colors they choose to wear every day.
