My students will benefit from using the appropriate measuring tools for their individual woodworking tasks while they are in their woodworking shop. They work on addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, algebra, and geometry while designing and building their projects. They currently use the shop projects to help fund their program and to do community service projects such as working with younger students and offering services to seniors. If the students are forced to go back to remote learning, woodworking kits will be made, and students will be able to continue their education, projects, and program at home.
