My 6-year-old students come in each day and are expected to sit down in a chair to learn difficult concepts. Yet their bodies are not meant to sit all day, and many of them learn best by moving, standing, and even laying down. If you have ever felt confined to a chair, forced to sit there, when you just want to MOVE, you can help make sure that doesn't happen in my class this year! Donating to this project will provide a variety of flexible seating options for my students to choose from. They will enter the room to find not boring chairs that they will be forced to sit in, but wobbly stools that can wiggle, bean bags they can lay down and read on, pillows they can take a clip board and lay down to do the math on the rug. It will not only make the classroom an exciting place to learn in, but for many, it will make it a much more enjoyable learning experience as well.
