This year I am hoping my students will be able to have a paperback copy of our books to have at home and keep.
Reading is an amazing way to help start conversation about difficult topics with kids. I love how one book can open many doors for learning.
I am looking to purchase a set of "The One and Only Ivan" and many others for each student to have at home during virtual learning and to read along when we are in person. We will be working hard to use our new books to analyze characters, identify main ideas and supporting details and learn to summarize our reading.
