Every year, I have a great project that I love doing with my students; I call it "Boo-Ography." Each student will choose one influential person from history who is dead. They will read a biography about them, write a speech, pick a costume, and design a board about this person.
Once the student has completed all of these tasks, they come to school dressed as this person, with their board and speech as well. We set it up as a wax museum so that when people come, they will say a password and once they say it, the student will come alive as their person and give their speech. I would use these supplies so that I can help my students print off-color pictures for their boards. Many of my students come from low-income families who aren't able to print things off.
