My students need their teacher to have new technology, especially during distance learning. I am currently using a district Chromebook that was given to me over 8 years ago. This district Chromebook often freezes whenever I use Zoom, and I am not able to use all of Zoom's features such as backgrounds and chat since the technology is so out-dated. It is imperative for me to have updated technology so that I can effectively teach my Zoom classes and keep the students engaged. I am requesting a 13" MacBook Pro. My students often get frustrated with my current district Chromebook. The Zoom video often lags and the students struggle to stay engaged with my screen freezing or what they describe as "glitching". The MacBook Pro will help me get updated with current technology so that I can teach my students during distance learning.
