My classroom has some great manipulatives, games, activities, and learning tools I've collected through the years, but we don't have anywhere to store these fabulous things. The storage shelving units and bins I'm kindly asking for will be used daily to help my students learn and grow.
Not only will my students become more responsible, but they will also learn to be more independent by having easy access to the materials they need to learn and play. Learning through play is how a child makes sense of the world around them. Children develop social and cognitive skills and gain the self-confidence needed to engage in new experiences and in their environment through play. If my classroom had the storage shelving units and bins the children would have the freedom of choice during developmental playtime which would boost their social and emotional development.
