These materials will be used in my math models class to teach my students multiple math concepts as the district continues to teach virtually. My at risk ESL students will be able to have additional practice working in math with new visuals, hands on manipulatives, and graphic organizers. Many of my students are newcomers to the United States, some have never attended high school even at the age of 14-18. Others have very limited use of the English language.
As a teacher, I work hard to make sure all of my students, regardless or race, religion, or national origin receive the quality education they all deserve.
My at-risk students learning gap continues to widen during COVID-19. Basic teaching supplies we can sometimes take for granted can mean all the world to such deserving students.
