Majority of the students in my program will play clarinet or saxophone. Without the reed, there is no possible way those students can participate in band class, let alone practicing and turning in assignments at home.
With this project, I will be able to send reeds home to students while they perform their assignments, guided practice, and assessments in the virtual environment.
This will lower the financial burden that students will have by costs of reeds over time. Reeds individually do not cost much, but they can seriously add up over time. This will grant them the ability to play their instrument and make music with others in the virtual setting. This will enhance the environment by creating equal opportunities for everyone to play and no one has to sit out because they don't have reeds!
