This year I found that many of my students struggled with math concepts they didn't get a chance to be introduced to last year before schools closed due to COVID -19. One of the big gaps I saw was with fractions. Having games and manipulatives that they can use during class will help fill these gaps. I also believe that having books where they can read about fractions in daily life will help them understand why it is so important to learn how to use them. I hope that having materials like this I can close these pandemic gaps even more and get our students back on track.
