Imagine being 5 years old and spending your first day of kindergarten meeting your teachers and classmates through a computer screen. That is the reality for my students this September, as our district begins the school year 100% remotely. I am working hard to bring the best parts of kindergarten to them, and to make their school year memorable, engaging, and fun.
However, my kindergartners won't feel the excitement and enthusiasm that I plan to share with them if they can't hear me. Many of our students will be learning at home alongside siblings or in daycares where noise and other distractions can be a factor. By providing students with comfy headphones, we are encouraging them to focus, become good listeners, and setting them up for success!
