My school is Title 1, which means the families are considered low income. The students love to get involved and find any excuse to stay after school or come in early. They work hard, but many of them don't have much by way of possessions. It is their involvement in clubs and classes that they will take with them. Our teachers work hard to make sure students know that someone cares for and supports them.
