Imagine your teacher wearing a mask or a face shield while teaching and giving instructions. We can't see each others' faces, only our eyes and we have a difficult time hearing what is being said. When I read aloud to the class some students struggle to get involved with the book because they can't see the pictures clearly. I struggle to walk around the room to ensure all can see due to social distancing and desks being spread out. The document camera will make it possible for all students to be able "see" the book I'm reading to them. They will be able to see the pictures and follow along as I'm reading the page.
Another issue is during Math time when I am working with hands-on manipulatives. Not all students can see me modeling the correct way to do the lesson. I will be able to model or demonstrate more effectively the task at hand when students are using hands-on objects. Students will be able to stay on task better.
The document camera will also allow students to be able to share their personal writing and or art projects. The document camera will be a vital part of our classroom. The Portable Voice Amplifier will allow students to hear my instructions no matter where they are sitting in the classroom. Both the Document Camera and Voice Amplifier will help me ensure student success.
