Due to the pandemic, Hawaii public schools have switched to 100% distance learning. As a result we were directed to attend distance learning training where the trainer used an iPad Pro to project assignments on the Promethean Board. This allowed her to interact with the material by highlighting, taking notes, and inserting images or video when needed. This created a more hands-on experience that will benefit my students during their online lessons.
With the switch from face to face learning to distance learning, technology has become a key element in developing and applying my curriculum. I will be hosting Google Meets session and will be able to interact with my students through an app called Notability on an iPad. This app will allow note-taking, annotation, dragging and dropping documents, photos, or audio recordings straight from my the desktop.
This iPad will connect my class with the many tools that will provide opportunities for my students to continue their learning during this unprecedented time.
