When we left on March 11, our 5th graders all said, "See you tomorrow!" That turned to "We'll be out next week," followed by "After Spring Break, we'll get back to school." When the governor closed school buildings for the remainder of the year, we were all shocked and saddened.
We keep reminding our students and families that even while the building is closed, school is still on!
With our students starting the year from their homes in distance learning this year, we'll be teaching using our own resources at home. However, it would be great if we could know that every student has some of the same resources at their houses. I would also like to give students assistance with organizing their supplies so they're easily accessible and in one place. Whiteboards, dry erase markers, erasers, and boxes for organization would be amazing!
As a distance learning teacher, I would like to start the year by visiting every student's house to introduce myself and give them supplies to make it easier to get our year started together and consistently. Thanks for your help in making this possible!
