If you were to visit my classroom on a typical day, you would see the students moving around the space, collaborating with peers, and using various materials to creatively solve problems. However, this school year is going to be far from typical. Students will not have the opportunity to have these collaborative learning experiences due to the global pandemic. We can change that with your help.
It is really important to me that my students continue to receive high-quality, engaging instruction, no matter what. In order for me to adapt my curriculum to the virtual setting and ensure the continued success of my students, I need to equip myself with resources that make virtual learning not just possible, but engaging. The webcam, ring light tripod, drawing tablet, and stylus will provide clear communication and interaction with my students, while also letting them ask questions and communicate effectively. The document scanner and printer will ensure that I can provide quality resources to students despite the distance between us, and that materials can be attainable for all of my children. The other items on my list are accessories that will help me stay organized in the virtual setting. While all of these tools serve a distance learning purpose, each of them is able to be used upon our return to the classroom to support our project-based learning. Students can use these tools to film videos and record their voices for our Advertising Unit, and will be able to sketch plans and make edits to blueprints for our Home Design Unit to name a few. Please consider donating to my classroom - with your help, we can make this year an amazing success!
