These books will continue to enhance the diverse library that I work hard to create. Our library is a place that my students really enjoy. We do story time all together, we independently search for new books to check out and I watch students fall in love with reading. Every book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to read. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind. I see every student every week from K-5 and I have watched their reading habits grow and change and know what they enjoy most.
With COVID-19 so drastically changing our school setting, it is more important than ever that our students be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level. They will also be able to choose books that interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help the whole school grow stronger in reading.
