We are a small school in a humongous district where resources are low. My students range between 9th and 12th grade, and most are taking journalism for the first time. I primarily have African American, Caribbean American, and Latin/Spanish American students. My students have an incredible joy of life. They aspire to a number of professions -- doctors, lawyers, politicians, and yes, even a journalist or two. A large portion of students in my school qualify for free or reduced lunch.
