Everyone in my STEAM class loves building and everyone wants to be able to participate. The books I'm requesting are to ignite the students' imaginations about creating solutions to unique problems.
This year we need materials for each student rather than sharing in small groups. We usually pass out materials to each small group but with distance learning we will be sitting 6 feet apart and working individually. Therefore, we need more supplies. The plastic bags will be how we prepare materials for the students so they each get their own materials bag for the project. We use masking tape and craft sticks for many of our building projects like building a fort, a tower, bridges and more. The paper plates are for one of the favorite activities in 5th grade, the marble run roller coater.
I can not imagine students watching as I build. They need their own materials. They need to manipulate the materials, test them and observe what works and what doesn't. Please consider making this possible. Thank you.
