All of the items listed are things that I have thought about getting for the past year but have not been able to afford. They are items that I know would help optimize student learning and achievement.
By donating to my project, you help in making my classroom more organized and engaging for my learners.
Whiteboard are used regularly in our classroom, specifically during math and phonics. Students use the whiteboards in whole group discussions on the floor, during small group centers, and during independent practice. Whiteboards are a helpful way for me to see student work and for students to practice what they hear during whole and small group instruction. They also give students a sense of autonomy, as they are able to record on their own boards while I write on the large whiteboard.
The chair organizers will help my students to keep all their materials together. Right now, we have desks that don't fit any of their books/notebooks. Students have to keep most of their materials in different places, which is a cause for distraction and decreased time on task. I would like to increase their time on task by having organizers for each child that are easy to access and hold all of their materials.
