Last spring school closed due to COVID-19. Without any warning my students were expected to transition from hands-on learning with their peers to trying to navigate Zoom classes, Google Classroom, and distance learning websites. I quickly learned that using a Chromebook at home for learning was a disaster for my students.
A mouse would make using a Chromebook more accessible to my special needs students. They were struggling using the touchpad and became frustrated and many gave up! I feel that having a mouse will support their ability to learn online.
