With all of the unknowns about this upcoming school year and what it might look like, I am hoping to collect a number of books that foster social emotional skills and community building that can be used through online learning as well as in the classroom. I have selected each of these titles intentionally, as they cover topics such as empathy, community, diversity, grit, resilience, mindfulness and more. These are all relevant and important traits and skills to introduce to young students while also exposing students to rich literature to foster a love of learning and reading.
