Returning to school this year will be a whole new experience for each individual in my classroom. I, as their teacher, have taken on a new content area in a new school. My students, being 10th-12th graders, have taken on distance learning since March 2020. Some of my students have never even stepped foot on their high school campus. So much has changed in my students' personal and academic lives.
This project focuses on bringing all of us back together into our new world of learning after a tumultuous year. One big focus of mine for this year is fostering my students' collaboration skills, and getting them comfortable with working with others again, after being separated for so long.
The items I am requesting revolve largely around collaborative group work on whiteboards, and team work to play math breakout games. Some of the other items are also to help me transition into my new role as a math teacher at a new school.
