I am requesting a bookshelf, benches and floor cushions. I have spent the past few months collecting over 150 books for my wonderful kindergarteners this year. I want my students to get excited about reading and feel independent in their ability to choose books based off of their interests and abilities. After finally getting a diverse and rich set of books for the library, I realize I have no place to store them. I know that these organizational tools will help to store my books, as well as create a comfortable sitting environment for my students. I want our classroom library to be a place where students want to spend their time. Investing in some storage and seating will encourage them to sit back, relax, and enjoy a good book.
