COVID-19 can't hinder my students from getting the education and services they need in order to learn and succeed in life. By having the equipment at home, I can provide my students with the instructional materials they need to grasp the concepts. They already have obstacles which they work hard to overcome, distance learning just adds another burden on them.
This equipment provides the means for direct instruction, modeling and access to materials that Deaf students require. As the teacher for the deaf and hard of hearing, I support all my students in every class they have. This means I need to create and provide individual instruction in all four content areas (English, science, social studies and math). Once we are able to return to face to face, this equipment will enable my assistant to provide instruction to one group while I work with another group using the technology we have in school. Resource time with my students means I am covering anywhere from two to four different content areas at the same time. This equipment will help provide instruction to more groups.
