Problem solving and inquiry-based learning is what young children thrive on. My goal is to give my students relatable problems to solve, often based in literature we've read, so that all academic areas come together to create meaning in multiple academic realms. This project would not only provide a space in my room to explore, but also the materials needed to create that exciting and engaging learning environment.
As an early childhood teacher, I have always known the value of play and exploration. Now the rest of the world has caught on and named this type of learning STEM, and my greatest challenge is to keep fueling the flames of this type of learning at the forefront in my classroom.
