Our students will be starting the school year in a distance learning format, which means they won't have access to check out free books. At our Title I school, our students come from low-income communities and I do not want our families worried about purchasing books when they need the money for other necessities.
The books were thoughtfully chosen to reflect the lives and stories of our students and community! These culturally relevant books would be delivered to the students to ensure that they are able to continue growing their reading and comprehension skills at home.
